Mad Hatter Publications was established as a uniquely Australian company by John and Jill Argyle, at the request of many teachers and users of school music, in order to publish high quality teaching and performance material. We publish and sell school musicals for primary, middle and high school and music resources. Our aim is to present exciting works for classroom, teaching studio and stage in the present, innovative climate of musical education. The staff at Mad Hatter Publications has had considerable experience in educational publishing and understands the needs of teachers today. The company was established in 2007, growing out of Musicline Publications (Australia). Mad Hatter now have two branch sites, madhattermusicals.com and madhattermusicresources.com. Our main focus is publishing original school musicals and our blog Music Notes has many articles encouraging all teachers to give it a go. Even teachers with little or no experience are able to produce musicals, as we have excellent backing tracks which can be used for practice and performance.
Mad Hatter Music Resources is presently not updating as we are soon to change to a new site where all material will be downloadable. It is our aim that eventually all our musicals will also be downloadable thus furthering our goal of making music and musicals easily accessible to all. The delay in doing so is because of copyright and royalty issues which we hope will soon be resolved.
