Mad Hatter Publications has an ongoing relationship with Sibelius which is our preferred notational software programme for setting musicals. The company is always a work in progress and we always enjoy talking to new composers who may wish to publish their works.
John Argyle has worked as a professional orchestrator and creates quality backing tracks. He is also a Sibelius Training Partner. He has taught in many schools throughout Australia and in the United Kingdom and has conducted and directed many amateur and professional shows, musicals and operas. He is an accomplished pianist and organist.
Jill has taught music privately and in schools, and has particular expertise in early childhood music. Jill organizes the day-to-day running of the company as well as composing, editing and planning.
The intention of our blog, Musical Notes, is to promote interest and enthusiasm about musicals, and to encourage teachers to introduce them into schools and produce them regularly. Musicals can be very stressful, time consuming and tiring. But it is possible to produce musicals with a minimum of fuss and it is hoped that this series of blogs will entice more teachers to get involved!
